Sunnyvale Primary: Unlocking Potential with KickStart Breakfast
Sunnyvale Primary School, Auckland, has been part of our KickStart Breakfast whānau since early 2018. Each morning, the school welcomes up to 100 tamariki who come together for kai and a chance to connect with their peers before the school day.
The KickStart Breakfast Club serves a range of delicious and nutritious options including Anchor milk and Weet-Bix, toast and spreads and on occasion the incredible kitchen team whip up something special using inspiration from our KickStart Breakfast Recipe Booklet. This commitment to providing a healthy breakfast ensures that every tamariki can kickstart their day with the energy and focus they need for learning.
Breakfast is served before the school bell but staff members, Jo and the dedicated lunch team understand that not every child can arrive on time. That's why they remain on hand to support any tamariki who arrive late, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
“Our breakfast cafe is a popular place. Our students feel welcome and safe making Sunnyvale Primary a great place to learn and grow. We know that starting the day well, helps to ensure focus and happiness in the classroom”
At Sunnyvale Primary, KickStart Breakfast is more than just a meal—it's a vital program that promotes well-being, connection, and readiness for the day ahead. Big thank you to all those involved at Sunnyvale Primary and the support of the wider school whanau for every child to kickstart their day!
