The KickStart Breakfast Club Award recognises a breakfast club that excels in delivering a quality programme for their students, school and community.

Morrinsville Primary School in the Waikato is this year's winner.

In recognising the great work that Morrinsville Primary School’s commitment to the KickStart Breakfast programme by ensuring students are welcomed every day with a positive friendly atmosphere impressed our panel on so many levels.

Since 2009 Morrinsville Primary School has delivered breakfast to 40 students per day, 5 days a week and continues to serve its community in a warm and engaging manner.

“We instil positive eating habits (healthy food and a good breakfast) encompassing our school’s virtues at Breakfast Club, e.g. kindness, compassion, patience, friendliness, courtesy and respect,” says Shay Noonan, the principal.

Morrinsville Primary School live and breathe the values of what the KickStart Breakfast Programme stands for, and that is the reason why Morrinsville is our KickStart Breakfast Club winner for 2016.

With this Award, Morrinsville Primary School receives $5,000 towards their Breakfast Club.
