Anchor Milk team Spotlight - Community Spirit and Dedication

Meet two more of our fantastic Anchor milk teams located at the top of the North Island in Te Tai Tokerau and West Auckland

Northland Milk

Operating from two depots located in Kerikeri and Kaitaia, the dedicated team of seven staff works diligently to deliver Anchor milk to 65 KickStart Breakfast schools in the far north including Kawakawa, Opononi, Kaitaia, Panagru, Broadwood, and the Far North.

As a relatively new member of our Anchor team whānau, owner Rachael Guthrie will celebrate her fourth year leading Northland Milk this coming November.

Their dedication to community support extends beyond their daily operations. Each year, they proudly support many community groups in the region - from organising whānau fun day for local tamariki to sporting teams, showing up for whānau in need and playing an active role in the Northland Women’s Business Association with fundraising support.

James Christian, owner of Dairy on Demand Northwest

JBC Distribution

James and his team at Dairy on Demand have been delivering Anchor milk to Kickstart Breakfast schools since 2013, establishing a strong tradition of service and community involvement. Covering a wide area that stretches from Henderson to Helensville, they currently have 23 schools participating in the area. The team's commitment to their mission is evident in their passion for hearing the children's stories and the joy they experience in meeting some of them during their deliveries. Each visit to the schools becomes a unique opportunity to connect with tamariki, creating unforgettable moments that enrich their daily routine.

One of the most memorable experiences for James and his team is the children's eagerness to help when their Anchor milk arrives. It's a heartwarming sight to see the students line up and form a large chain, working together to unload the truck. Their dedication to delivering Anchor milk through the KickStart Breakfast programme shines a spotlight on the important role of togetherness and support, making a significant impact on the wider school communities they reach.
